The USARS is recognized by the International Roller Sports Federation or FIRS and the United Skates Olympic Committee as an official sport but, Roller Skating or Artistic Roller skating is not seen as an official olympic sport world wide. I competed in South Central Regional Stars Event in Houston Texas 2002. As I am writing this article on skating years later Roller Skating or Artistic Roller Skating has not yet been accepted world wide as an Olympic sport. Some articles on skating say that Roller Skating is a dying sport since Inline skates or Roller Blades have been invented and used world wide. I of course was into the Artists Skate Dancing Solo of Course not pair skating or couple skating. I have always pretty much skated solo and loved the artistic skate dancing even just skate dancing in the streets for fun is exciting to me. Jam skating and Artistic Dance as well as Aggressive skating and boarding are my favorite ways to skate always since I was about 12 years old or such. I was a preteen when I got my first pair of real skates but they were real cheap skates grin. Yeah funny but they worked as well as pro gear and expensive skate gear in ways for me. I was to be one of the main skaters or skate stars in a tv show that was going to air on tv as a 30 minute skate dancing show called the American Roll. The show then was changed to an hour show with 30 minutes of commercials. The skate dancing show then of course did not make it to remain on tv and be accepted as a weekly show. It was fun doing the filming or skating for the film crew and other skaters there. Skaters from all over Texas came to be our background skaters and get seen on tv with us. It was exciting but, sometimes things do not work as people plan. I feel badly for the producer since he put so much time and money into the skate show in hopes to make a skating version of solid gold. Like solid gold dancers on wheels. It was a cool idea to put together jam skating tv shows or skating shows on tv. |

Below is a skate video of me roller skating on Riedell Skates that I later ended up letting a Dallas Texas Skate Rink owner or Lewisville Skating Rink owner in Texas change the skate wheels and bearings with much cheaper ones and Roller Skating Competition Regulated skate wheels and skate gear for Olympic Skating or what is known as the USARS or USA Roller Sports. United States of America Roller Skating Committee or USARS events. The video shows walking backwards on roller skates. Something silly I taught myself to do for fun that later was of a bit of use.

I took home a silver medal after about 1 year of Artistic Skate Dancing lessons. The Skating Video below is an Artistic Skate Dancing Video of me doing Artistic Roller Skating in Houston texas. The jam skating videos above is of course a video filmed before I took any skate lessons. I am a self taught skater, musician, artist and all things.
Skating lessons from the USARS Coach seemed to help me learn a lot very fast. When I would fall at jumps and get back up the next jump usually ended up with a good landing. I only needed to learn a little to compete and be able to do the combo jumps and moves & to know the routine and regulated skate moves needed to enter and compete. I would not have got a Lutz with no help from the USARS Coach that gave free skating lessons to me. I did in ways love learning to skate between work and between jam skating of course. grin. Yeah I am also into inline skating aka rollerblading I guess kids call it now or whatever.
The Skate Video or Video of me skating in Houston Texas and one of the Skating Rinks in Houston. That was the day of the 2002 Regional Houston Skate Competition. They had what the USARS called Junior Olympics and Senior Olympics events for Roller Skaters. Since Roller Skating is not accepted or seen as an olympic sport even though some of the very same moves are done on Roller Skates as in Ice Skates it still would mean that the medal and qualifying to skate in this skate contest or skating competition did not matter. However for me to have got free lessons and to even get to teach some of the skate classes later in the months of skating in Lewisville Texas, I was happy to be able to skate and walk at all.
Not just being able to do jumps on skates and even fall skating and get back up to skate again at my age is probably a blessing grin. But after the attempted murder aka accidently on purpose car accident in KCMO I am lucky to even be able to walk or live. I was in a car crash that sent me through the car windshield while going 95 MP. The car crash or car accident was thanks to what could be a Missouri or Independence Missouri Serial Killer gone free. I was happy to have survived the terrible car crash. 0ps too much info eh. Grin.

Watch live webcams there as I may be broadcasting live skating webcams from Europe. Nordic Parts of the world eh. Sweden and skating in Sweden live on webcams will be seen when there is enough summer and light in Sweden to show skating and skaters on inline skating, roller skating and even check out the Ice Rink videos in Varberg off that site. Photos and videos of Europe and Swedish pages there.
